Hello Students!
I'm Mrs. Healey and I guess I should share just a couple of things about myself. I grew up in Lisbon, CT. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher and all through my high school career at NFA this was always my focus. I went to Central Connecticut State University for my BA in... Elementary Education with a minor in Math. I graduated in 2001 and set off to teach 2nd grade at a private school. Bot was I in for a shock. 2nd graders were not for me. I was very lucky to then have the opportunity to move to the middle school 5-8th grade math teacher. Here I fell in love with teaching math. I went back to school and received my certification in secondary education mathematics. In 2005 I became a teacher here at Tourtellotte Memorial High School. It was awesome, I was able to coach middle soccer, girls basketball, and softball. Through my years at Tourtellotte I have come to know so many awesome students and have created so many memories! I truly love teaching math and I hope that shows in my classroom! I hope that you like my little bio and I can't wait for the upcoming year! :)
